We’d like to introduce you to Brad Mahood, one of the latest additions to our Business Development Managers. In order to get to know him a bit better, we interviewed with 10 random questions…

 

10 Random Facts About Brad Mahood

 

1. What is your role at Oprema?

Here at Oprema, I work as one of the Business Development Managers, focusing on the networking and cable side of the business. In my role, I work alongside the rest of the team promoting the Lanview brand which includes network cable both copper and fibre, ancillaries, racks, and cabinets. Slightly different to the rest of the BDMs, I work in a national role visiting customers all over the country to help boost the Lanview sales and make them aware of complete networking solutions available at Oprema.

2. Describe your first ever job…

My first ever job was doing charity work. We would have to dress up in onesies or as superheroes and go around pubs and bars across the Midlands selling badges, raffle tickets, or just collecting donations for charities. As you can imagine, this was pretty embarrassing for a teenager and I didn’t last long before I got into working in a hotel as a food runner at 15/16!

3. What’s your dream holiday destination?

I would love to do a golfing trip to New Zealand – the courses look absolutely insane. I still haven’t visited America yet – definitely on the bucket list too.

4. What’s your favourite recent memory?

I would probably say my travels to Thailand, Bali and Australia. Every day was something different and I was constantly on the move…always nice to have 6 weeks off work too. 😊

5. What skill would you most like to learn?

I would love to be better at DIY – I am absolutely useless when it comes to building/fixing anything.

6. What’s the coolest place you’ve ever travelled to, and why?

Just before starting with Oprema, I visited Thailand, Bali and Australia. I only went for 6 weeks, however I wish and very easily could’ve done 6 months! Absolutely loved every minute of it…such a different way of life and would go back in a heartbeat.

8. You’re having a dinner party and can invite 3 celebrities (dead or alive) – who is coming and why?

Lionel Messi, Gordon Ramsay and Ricky Gervais would be my 3. Gordon for the cooking, Ricky Gervais as I’d spend all night creasing at him…and Messi – well he’s the GOAT, so he has to be there!

8. What’s your guilty pleasure?

EastEnders… never missed an episode, don’t ask further.

9. You can only listen to 3 albums again for the rest of your life: what are they?

Hard to go away from Kanye here… little bit of J Cole too.

10. What is the best advice you’ve ever received?

Live in the moment – ‘We’re so busy watching out for what’s ahead of us that we don’t take time to enjoy where we are’.
