Can you tell us a bit more about yourself and your role?

Hi! My name is Brad Mahood. Here at Oprema, my role as a Business Development Manager is to lead our networking and cable division sector of the business. I work along with the rest of the team to promote our network infrastructure solutions brand, Lanview.

 

What does a week look like for you at Oprema?

My week consists of attending meetings with my BDM counterparts, visiting their customers, and offering introductions or product updates on the Lanview range. When I’m not out and about on the road, product management is a huge part of my role. I make sure we have the correct and appropriate level of stock at Oprema.

 

What is Lanview?

Lanview is an exclusive brand to us at Oprema. It provides professional networking solutions for security, data network and Pro AV integrators on any type of installation. Cable infrastructure within any commercial property is a huge part of the entire network, and without using components of a high quality, your systems will perform poorly. With Lanview, we strive to offer consistent quality with all our products to keep our customers satisfied and ensure they don’t run into any issues onsite.

 

What is in the Lanview range?

Our aim is to be a one-stop shop for structured cabling, fibre networking, server racks and cabinets, and all the accessories to accompany the cables and cabinets.

We offer a range of copper cable solutions – including CAT5, CAT6, AND CAT6a – all of which come in internal and duct grade options. Our usual SKU is on a 350m reel, however, 500m options are available when certain applications require. We recommend LSZH (low smoke zero halogen) jacket material on copper cable, but dependent on the install and specification, we also have PVC options.

Fibre optic cable is another offering with Lanview. We provide solutions for both single-mode and multi-mode applications. Our extensive product range means that we can support our customer base with pre-set length or cut to order fibre SKUs across OS2, OM3, and OM4.

Alongside the cable, Lanview have a high-performance, cost-effective fibre splicing kit available, removing the barrier to entry of bringing your fibre splicing needs in house.

To allow us to be the one-stop-shop we pride ourselves on being, Lanview offers all the accessories to suit the copper and fibre cable – including keystones, copper plugs, network points, pig tails and patch cables.

Lanview’s extensive portfolio of products features pre-assembled cabinets, ranging from a slick 3U wall-mounted cabinet to house a recorder in applications where you may not be able to fit a standard rack, right the way through to an array of 42U cabinets perfect for server rooms and office installations.
