10 Random Facts About Callum Edwards

 

1. What’s your role at Oprema?

I’ve joined Oprema as the newest Business Development Manager for the South East. Based in London, I work alongside Ben Digby to support our customers and help them save time & money!

On a day-to-day basis, I’m out in the region visiting my customers and discussing all the ways in which we can support them – whether that be discussing their upcoming project or providing website demos so they can get the most out of our feature-rich website, new product demos, or just general information sharing of all the newest products and technology developments in the market.

2. If you could recommend one book, what would it be and why?

Shoe Dog – Book written by the founder of Nike, Phil Knight. If you’re a sports fan and into business, then this book is a must read. We all know Nike to be the huge brand that it is, but it’s incredible to read the true story of how they began and all the ups and downs along the way. It’s a testament to resilience, self-belief, innovation, and teamwork.

3. What was the last film you watched, and what did you think of it?

“Strays” – Just released in 2023, it’s a film about stray dogs and it’s absolutely hilarious. Will Ferrell and Jamie Foxx voice the 2 main characters. Be warned it’s not one for the kids!

4. What is your favourite sports team?

The mighty Tottenham Hotspur! Season ticket holder and go to every home game, loving the season so far under big Ange - Although I wrote this just before the North London Derby this weekend.

Closely followed by the Las Vegas Raiders as I’m big into NFL – haven’t been to a game yet in their new stadium in Las Vegas, so that’s definitely on my goal list for next year.

5. What did you want to be when you were younger?

Some kind of sportsperson, whether it was Football, Cricket, Basketball or Golf.

6. If you could only eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Steak and chips – might sound boring but there’s nothing better than a perfectly cooked (medium rare btw!) piece of steak.

7. What is the best gift you have ever received and why?

This year I was gifted a new golf watch – I’m a sucker for any gadget or gizmo but especially when its golf related. And I got it just in time for Oprema’s first ever golf day sponsored by Hanwha (although I don’t think it made me any better a player!)

8. What’s your go-to fast food restaurant/order?

If Wagamama counts as fast food then nothing beats a Chicken Katsu Curry.

9. What was your favourite/least favourite subject in school and why?

Favourite – Maths, which most people call me crazy for! But I just loved Maths and ended up studying it at university.

Least Favourite – French. I’m terrible at languages, which I wish I wasn’t as I’d love to learn a new language now.

10. What is your favourite season and why?

Summer, as I absolutely love the sunshine and heat – I’m instantly in a good mood if the sun is out. Although you can never count on it here in the UK.
